Meet Wendy’s home in a ‘secret village’ in the Bath area

We have lived in our beautiful home in our ‘secret village’ for 23 years. We knew from the moment we parked outside the house on a spring morning in March 2003 and could hear nothing but birdsong that we’d be buying the house before we stepped through the door.
It’s a home with a great feel, flooded with light from the many windows with great views and a sense of calm. The sunsets from the conservatory at the front if the house are spectacular.
Inside there is lots of space. If you work from home or have hobbies there are 2 separate workspaces. A study inside the house and a purpose built, insulated and heated garden room with toilet which could be used as an office, art studio or treatment room.
The large kitchen and separate utility has plenty of workspace and storage galore.
The conservatory is a lovely space to sit with a coffee or G&T and watch walkers, horse riders and mountain bikers pass by and enjoy the warmth.
In the summer the dog secure, private garden comes into it’s own. There are sunny spots from sunrise to sunset. Space to hang a hammock under the trees for welcome shade on the hottest days. An outdoor kitchen/bbq area for all fresco dining.
In the winter, sit in the lounge, draw the curtains and light the log burner for a cosy evening on the sofa.
The garage/workshop has plenty of space for tools with a ladder to more eaves storage. Keep your mountain bikes secure for miles of riding from the door.
Take your pick of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom/bathroom combination is on the ground floor so good for anyone with mobility issues or rent it out for additional income.
We can take numerous walks from our door including being able to access the renowned Cotswold Way of over 100 miles.
We have the most wonderful neighbours and village community. Friday night clubs in the village hall, annual BBQ, Harvest lunch, Bonfire party, Christmas party and NYE gatherings are just a few of the events we have.
