*Our barn conversion dates back to the 1600s when it was a farm supplying the great Devon house of Stevenstone. Converted into 12 houses in the 1980s each house is unique but we share the three and a quarter acre plot as well as our own private garden and garage.
The communal gardens include a fresh water stream, pond, field and orchards. Otters visit the pond plus lots of wildlife Our house is three bedrooms with ensuite. Rooms are extra large with beams and wood burning stove as well as central heating. The garden is entirely south facing so has sun all day long but the stone barn remains cool in summer and warm in winter. The current fees are only £80 pcm for all services including insurance, garden services, lighting, road maintenance and biodigestor.
*Favourite features: I love our conservatory as it allows me to sit in the garden year round, with farms either side of the property there is always lambs being born or cows. House martins roost all summer in the eaves.
*Favourite local area hidden gem: Torrington commons was gifted to the people of Great Torrington in perpetuity, this huge area plus the Tarka trail is beautiful and lovely for walks year round. Instow beach is also a favourite only 8 miles away.
*Perfect Saturday morning: Our garden is peaceful. The only sounds are those of the water and the birds. A cup of tea on the garden swing is a firm favourite. The garden is filled with mature plants, stubs, trees and is quite lovely.
