Meet Debbie

Napier Cottage in Golant is my dream home. But sadly, it’s time to move on so I can spend time with my grandchildren in Bath.
The cottage is quite unique. All rooms have spectacular river views as does the summer house which is my home office in the garden. I love watching the sunrise over the river
from my bed!
Set on a no- through road it is so peaceful here. But at night time you can hear screeching owls and the breeze making its way through the masts on the sailing boats on the river – there is no light pollution here and on a clear night it’s great for star gazing. In the daytime, at certain times of year, it’s wonderful to watch the geese make their way down the river towards the sea – they can be noisy though.
The village is great for those with dogs not only are there numerous footpaths but when the tide goes out, it reveals a large sandy beach. On the quay down to the beach when the tides in children love to go crabbing.
But it’s not just the property the new owner will be enjoying. The village has a great community with lots of activities throughout the year. In the summer many of these are based around boats. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a boat because there’s always an offer of a ride, one of the best trips is up to Lostwithiel for fish and chips and if you’re lucky, you’ll see our resident seals and kingfishers en route.
I will be sad to leave and hope I can find a new owner who will love Napier Cottage as much as I do.
