I moved here to be near my Grandchild and daughters. It has the best of both worlds, a lovely thriving rural community but with easy travel links to towns and cities. I can easily walk to the village shop, post office, church and eateries. The bus takes me quickly and easily further afield to larger towns when I need them. The local history is enchanting too with the former historic rail links. I particularly enjoy that I am mid way between Dartmoor and the beach in Bude thus having the best of all worlds.
*Favourite features: I love sitting outside in my rocking chair under my veranda all year round revelling in the peace and private (a perk of being at the end of a cul-de-sac). My garden is my joy so I have two perfect height raised beds to make the gardening process effortless. The whole bungalow is light and easy to move around in. Then there is my new kitchen, which I designed to be easy as I get older. It is quite simply easy to manage here.
*I love how easily I can get to the nature trail from my home both on foot and on my mobility scooter.
*Perfect Saturday morning: I sit in my rocking chair with my coffee, watching the birds, a book in hand, it feels so decadent enjoying the morning. The East facing veranda means I benefit from the early sun. I’m lucky that the shape of the garden means it enjoys the sun all day.
