Our favourite corner of our home is definitely the garden as it’s absolutely beautiful and has provided us and our teenage sons a wonderful life during their childhood. They have particular loved the space to play football in and practice their skills! We have also grown a lot of fruit and veg and spent many nights with the firepit on, eating alfresco. The cottage itself is like a warm embrace, with wood burners and old cob walls full of stories to tell. We renovated the old kitchen and built an open plan extension so that we could have a big family space to cook and catch up. It’s been fantastic. It’s a short walk to our village shop which sells local artisan sourdough bread and fresh local milk, as well as the most delicious scones and ice buns made by our lovely neighbour who is also a very talented artist. There is also a great kids playground in the village with a speedy zipline for adventurous kids and a mobile library and post office that visits the village every Tuesday and Thursday. You really need to try the village pubs grub too it’s absolutely delicious, our favourite is the Sunday roast with all the trimmings.
