HOME STORY: We have lived at our home for 21 years bringing up our two sons here who have both now flown the nest.
It has been a fabulous home to bring a family up in and over the years hosted many family parties, camping out under the stars (minimal light pollution in our village) and even space for me to run a catering business from!
Sadly with retirement looming and ongoing health/mobility issues for my husband the time has come to hand the batten over to a new family who can enjoy all the house has to offer.
Our home is situated within a fantastic village in Cambridgeshire, there is a huge community spirit and a family friendly atmosphere. We have a yearly carnival and sports day, horticultural show and the best Christmas lights display for miles around. We are situated in a prime location to have front row seats for the annual Santa run, tractor run and Carnival procession! Everything you need on a daily basis is within the village, a primary school, a medical centre and community hospital with a minor injuries unit, pub, post office, shop, hairdressers, beautician and much more! We are also surrounded by countryside so perfect for dog walking, muddy boots walks with children and access to wide open spaces.
Our home is full of character with many original period features, a particular favourite is the original front door fanlight, wide Georgian plank flooring in the front reception room and a second set of old winder servants stairs. It is deceptively spacious with a large family dining kitchen featuring a vaulted ceiling and a South facing garden with established planting, mature fruit trees and a large summerhouse.
It’s a house that has space and storage in abundance!
