About Moovafy:

What is Moovafy?

We are an online community platform where homebuyers, homeowners and renters in the UK can share their own stories, walk-through videos, and photos about a property as a personal, human add-on to the traditional estate agent listing. It’s currently in Beta and growing its community across the UK

 

 

What does ‘Moovafy’ mean?

The name is inspired by the word ‘move’, as in moving home. We are all about bringing the human side of home moving to life, allowing people to tell the real story behind a property in their own words.

 

Who created Moovafy?

Moovafy was founded by us, Polly and Jorge. We experienced a particularly difficult house move in 2021. That experience sparked the idea: what if homebuyers, homeowners and renters could share their own genuine story? The company, Moovafy Ltd, is registered in England & Wales (company no. 14908382).

 

Is Moovafy an estate agency?

No. We are not an estate agency and do not compete with agents. We focus on giving buyers, homeowners and renters an additional, personal layer of context and helping the connection in the community. We do not put buyers and sellers in direct contact or renters and landlords/landladies in direct contact, though; agents and Moovafy are complementary, not competing.

 

Where does Moovafy operate?

We are currently in Beta and is building its community with early users across the UK. The aim is to provide nationwide coverage as the platform grows

 

For Homebuyers:

How can Moovafy help me as a homebuyer?

Moovafy lets the community hear directly from the people who have lived in or are looking for a property. Instead of relying only on polished estate agent photos and marketing copy, you can read real buyer stories, watch walk-through videos, and get an honest sense of what a home and the community around it is really like.

When you share your buyer story, interested sellers who are already on the market can reach out to you via their agents with that particular property and agents who see your story may reach out with a few ideas.

 

What is a ‘homebuyer story’ on Moovafy?

A buyer story is a personal post created by someone who is actively looking to buy a home. It lets you describe the kind of property you’re looking for, the area you want to live in, your lifestyle, and what matters most to you in your own words. This helps sellers and agents understand the person behind the search, not just the property criteria.

 

Can I search for properties on Moovafy?

Moovafy is a storytelling and community platform rather than a traditional property search portal with listings. You can browse buyer and seller stories to find genuine, human perspectives on homes and neighbourhoods. 

 

Is it free to share a homebuyer story?

Yes. Sharing your buyer story on Moovafy is currently free. The platform is built around community and connection, giving buyers a voice without a financial barrier.

 

How do I get started as a homebuyer on Moovafy?

You can visit Home and share your homebuyer story directly on the platform. You can describe what you’re looking for in your own words, upload photos or videos, and connect with the community.

 

For Homeowners and Home Sellers:

How can Moovafy help me gauge interest or sell my home?

Moovafy gives you the opportunity to tell your home’s story the way only you can, through your own words, photos, and walk-through videos. This adds a personal, emotional layer to your property enhancing connectivity with buyers and agents and gauging first hand the interest in your home. Buyers increasingly want to feel connected to a home before they view it, and your story can make that difference. The same goes for agents, who will reach out to you with better context. 

Agents interested in your story when you’re thinking of selling can reach out to you to offer their services and buyers interested in your story when you’re already on the market can request your Agent’s listing.

 

What is a ‘homeowner story’ on Moovafy?

A homeowner story is your personal account of the home you’re gauging interest on, thinking of selling or selling (for those already on the market). You can share what you love about the property, the memories made there, the neighbourhood, local schools, favourite local spots, and anything else that makes your home special. It’s your chance to speak directly to potential buyers.

 

Can I share a story whether my home is on the market or not?

Yes. Moovafy welcomes stories both from people who are just gauging interest or thinking about selling and haven’t yet listed with an agent yet and also those already on the market. Sharing your story when you are thinking of selling allows you to gauge interest, get your home in front of potential buyers early, and build a sense of the market before you commit.

 

Will sharing a story on Moovafy replace my estate agent?

Not at all. We are not agents and Moovafy is only designed to complement the process, particularly for those thinking of selling and looking to gauge interest and looking for an agent they can instruct. Your agent handles the legal, financial, and formal side of the sale. Moovafy adds the human story on top, something agents simply cannot do on your behalf.

 

Is it free for homeowners to list a story on Moovafy?

During the current Beta phase, Moovafy is focused on growing its community and sharing your story is free. Please visit Home or contact the team at info@moovafy.co.uk for the latest information on pricing and access.

 

For Renters:

How can Moovafy help me as a renter?

As a renter, you rarely get the chance to express who you are, what you’re looking for, and why it matters, beyond a list of bedrooms and a budget.

That’s what your renter story is for. This is your space to describe your dream rental and lifestyle in your own words: the things that matter to you, the community you’re looking for, the life you want to build. 
Your story will be seen by landlords/landladies and agents across the UK who may have exactly what you’re looking for. If they are interested in your story the letting agents can get in contact with us and use our platform to send their details to you. We do not share your contact details with landlords/landladies or agents, you will receive their details and message and then you can follow up if you wish.
 
 

For Local Businesses:

How can we help local businesses?

Moving to a new area is about finding your ‘spots’, like the best place for a Saturday morning flat white. As part of our commitment to ethical, human-led moves, we’re introducing our Local Partners by featuring local businesses that share our values of integrity, kindness, and quality. Local Businesses can share their story and help new movers find their ‘spots’ and feel at home faster. We’re being very selective about who we feature to ensure they meet our community standards.
 
We are currently focusing on ‘lifestyle’ and ‘settling-in’ businesses that make a house feel like a home. For a one-off fee of £50, you get a 3-month featured story on our website, a permanent Instagram reel and a 24 hour Instagram story to shine a light on your business. Get in touch and we will get back to you to prepare your feature!

 

For Agents:

What does Moovafy do for my pipeline?

Moovafy puts emotionally engaged, motivated homebuyers, homeowners and tenants in front of you before they’ve even booked a viewing or instructed an agent. These aren’t cold leads. They’re people who’ve already invested time telling their story, which means they’re serious. It can also differentiate your existing listings by adding a genuine human layer of storytelling for your current sellers.  

 

Does Moovafy compete with estate agents?

No. Moovafy does not list properties for sale, to let, conduct viewings, negotiate offers, manage lettings or handle any part of the formal transaction. Agents remain the professionals responsible for the sale or the let. Moovafy simply provides a community space for the human stories around a property. Our community helps your listings attract more emotionally engaged homebuyers before they even book a viewing and renters that could be the ideal fit for your landlords/landladies.

 

Can I recommend Moovafy to my clients?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Agents who introduce Moovafy to their seller and landlord/landlady clients are giving them an additional tool to connect emotionally with homebuyers and renters. It can help generate more genuine enquiries and more motivated viewings, which ultimately benefits everyone, including your agency.

 

How do I get my agency involved with Moovafy?

Platform & Community:

What stage is Moovafy at?

We are currently in Beta. This means the platform is live, active, and open to early users, but it is still evolving. The team is focused on growing the community, gathering feedback, and improving the platform before a wider national rollout.

 

Is Moovafy available across the whole UK?

The goal is nationwide UK coverage. During the current Beta phase, Moovafy is building its community organically and welcomes users from across the UK.

 

Does Moovafy have a social media community?

Yes. You can follow Moovafy on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for updates, stories, and inspiration. Moovafy also runs a dedicated Facebook group called ‘Corners of Your Home’, where people share their favourite spaces and the details that make a house a home.

 

How is Moovafy different from traditional portals?

Traditional portals are property search portals focused on listings, photographs, and floor plans. Moovafy is a community storytelling platform focused on the human experience of buying, selling and renting a home. The two are complementary: an agent lists the property on traditional portals or their own website, and the buyer, seller or tenant shares their personal story on Moovafy to add context, emotion, and authenticity.

How will I receive any messages?
