Meet Jane (Example)

We are downsizing from our farmhouse in Somerset and want to find a medium sized period cottage for up to £500k with a small garden close to Chagford as we have family there. We will need three small bedrooms to accommodate our grown up children when they come to stay and a small garden for our cats and dog as well as to grow some fruit and vegetables and do a spot of gardening. We can do the landscaping for the garden ourselves if necessary but need the cottage to be refurbished, though not to high spec. Space for an Aga would be amazing as we would like to bring our beloved Aga with us if possible. A driveway is absolutely essential as my husband needs to be able to have secure parking outside the house due to health reasons. Ideally we would be in Chagford itself but would consider a cottage within a mile distance away if all other elements suit us. Also essential is a downstairs shower or bath to wash our dog after his walks – he doesn’t like outdoor showers!
